[HIGH FIVE] We gave a High Five to Todd Cline, Co-Founder of Austin Yoga School in Austin, TX.
WellcommATX: Where do you work…out?
Todd Cline: My favorite gyms to workout at are Central Athlete and Austin Bouldering Project: both of these gyms have all the equipment I need for a solid workout, and the community at both places is impeccable. When taking yoga classes, I love going to Black Swan Yoga Austin, Austin Bouldering Project, Practice Yoga Austin, and Soul Strong Yoga: shoutout to Soul Strong Yoga for being the first studio to take me on as a teacher.
WATX: What does wellness mean to you?
TC: Wellness means having a good relationship with everything in life: friends, family, food, fitness, finances (“The 5 F's”), myself, and everything in between!
WATX: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?
TC: To maintain consistency in the gym, to opt for healthy food options, to priotize sleep, to advance my education, and to nurture all of my relationships. Nothing crazy!
WATX: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?
TC: It's a long list, but I'll keep it short. Tamara Kenigsberg and Josh Wechsler both inspire me to be a better teacher, Trent Nivala motivates me to aspire to a greater level of strength and fitness, and Gabe Watters keeps me accountable on making good decisions in life and is someone with whom I can share openly.
WATX: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?
TC: Think long term, start small, and be consistent: think Atomic Habits. Make wellness as approachable and fun as possible. And most importantly, enjoy the journey.
