[HIGH FIVE] We gave a High Five to Coley Mozilo, an Instructor at CorePower and KOLLECTIVE in Austin, TX.
WellcommATX: Where do you work…out?
Coley Mozilo: Over a year ago, I decided to leave the corporate world to pursue my passion for fitness full-time. I'm now a dedicated yoga and HIIT instructor here in Austin with nearly six years at CorePower Yoga and six months at KOLLECTIVE! I also workout on the Town Lake Trail! Running is my passion, and the trail is something I never take for granted.
WATX: What does wellness mean to you?
CM: Wellness is the perfect mix of pushing my limits and knowing when to pull back, all within a supportive community. On one hand, there's high-intensity interval training, HIIT, which is all about releasing energy, getting my heart pumping, and bringing out that competitive nature in me from playing a college sport. It's where I go to challenge myself, get stronger, and feel the rush of accomplishing something tough. On the other hand, there's yoga. It's where I slow down. I focus on my breath, connect with my body, and find a sense of calm. Yoga is my space to be still, to find flexibility, and to quiet the noise of a sometimes chaotic life. What ties it all together is the shared energy of a supportive community. The real magic of my wellness routine is how these two practices—and the people who do them with me—complement each other. The high energy of HIIT makes the stillness of yoga even more rewarding, and the mindfulness from yoga helps me push through those intense HIIT sessions. It’s a complete cycle of effort and rest that leaves me feeling balanced, strong, and connected to the people around me.
WATX: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?
CM: My wellness goals are to PR (“Personal Record”) at the Chicago Marathon this October with a time under 3 hours and 22 minutes and to complete the Boston Marathon in April 2026. I love running!
WATX: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?
CM: My Fitness Mentors and Community! Eve Morisette is my incredible running coach who has been a constant source of support through all my marathon journeys and injuries. Gus Manke is a close friend and major HYROX Hybrid Rockstar. I'm always impressed by his deep involvement in the fitness community and the incredible business he's built, even if I still won’t do a HYROX. Sam Hendel is the creator of GOOD GRIEF Run Club, and she’s a perfect example of how to build a strong, supportive community. Mitch Ammons is an absolute beast as a runner. His inspiring story and incredible talent make him an amazing person to look up to in the running space. Karin Carlson is a true CorePower Yoga legend and a total badass. I can confidently say I haven't taken a better yoga class in all of Austin. Maria Trest is a great friend and incredible yoga teacher in Austin. She teaches at Y7 and YOGA hOM. Maria has a way of making everyone feel seen and special in the studio. I guarantee you will feel more in tune with your body and grounded after leaving one of her classes.
WATX: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?
CM: Find your "why.” Before starting your journey, ask yourself why you want to make this change. Knowing your motivation will keep you going when things get tough. Remember that wellness looks different to everyone and is about progress, not perfection. Be kind to yourself and have fun!
