[HIGH FIVE] We gave a High Five to Ilene Coffee, a SWEAT Instructor at S2 Fitness Studio in Round Rock, TX.

WellcommATX: Where do you work…out?

Ilene Coffee: I workout at the gym and at Pilates studios. I can’t necessarily name a single one because one of my hobbies is to bop around town, check out as many fitness spaces as I can just to switch it up, and have fun with the routine. I will say S2 Fitness Studio in Greater Austin is a staple in my workout routine, which is where I coach SWEAT.

WATX: What does wellness mean to you?

IC: Wellness is a holistic state of health: not only physical, which many confuse wellness with appearance, but also mental and emotional. Wellness is about nurturing the mind and body equally. When you view wellness from that perspective, it truly helps maintain a positive outlook and support overall balance.

WATX: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?

IC: My wellness goals over the next twelve months are to continue to master what I am currently practicing and to expand my knowledge in a new field. I really want to help others know and experience the joy exercising can bring to their daily life.

WATX: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?

IC: That’s a tough question as it is almost impossible to name every single person who has impacted my fitness journey. Paul Coffee was the first to ever explain the anatomy of the body and how important it is on your body building journey and anything fitness related. Pia Beck, Maddie Asbridge, Gen Camacho, Brittany Valentina, and Chris Bumstead inspire me to stay locked in and to keep leveling up my fitness knowledge because the sky is the limit.

WATX: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?

IC: My advice to someone trying to change their wellness routine would be to do it. Literally: just do it. Start. With anything! Try something new, and if that’s not it for you, try something else! There are so many different things out there nowadays, but you won’t know it unless you put yourself out there and introduce your body to new routines.
