Wellcomm: Where do you workout?
Adrienne Atchley: Life Time, Pure Yoga, Present Practice, Ritual Moves, and Urban Lagree.
WC: What does wellness mean to you?
AA: Wellness is a practice of listening. It’s the ability to stay in relationship with myself through change, noticing when my body asks for effort and when it asks for rest, and learning to respond with honesty and care. It’s about coming back home to my body again and again and moving from a place of self compassion and fun!
WC: What are your wellness goals over the next twelve months?
AA: I'd like to dance more, get stronger, take more Yin Yoga classes, work toward the splits, and hold a handstand longer.
WC: Who are some people who inspire you, motivate you, or keep you accountable when it comes to your wellness?
AA: Sacni Garcia, David Kyle, and Carter Miles.
WC: What advice would you share with someone looking to change their wellness routine?
AA: Begin gently. Choose practices that meet you where you are, not where you think you should be. Let your routine be responsive and something that can shift with seasons, energy, and life, rather than a place to strive or perform.
