[PICKLEBALL + PADEL] Founders League, the premier pickleball league for startup founders, just wrapped up Season Seven in Austin, and we’ve got results. Big congrats to the Beginner/Intermediate Division Champions, Alex Wolfe (@awarewolfe) and Johnny Ronca (@johnnyronca) of Golden Pickles (pictured below), who took home the hardware after winning an epic three game match on Tuesday night. Their rewards, in addition to the trophy? They each scored a one night stay at Sage Hill Inn and Spa (courtesy of Eric Goldreyer (@goldreyer)), gained free entry into the League’s upcoming National Summit (along with entry into the 64 team national tournament taking place at Millbook), and (of course) bragging rights. But wait: there’s more! Founded itself by Darius Fisher (@dariusmaxwe11) and Jesse Boskoff (@jesseboskoff), Founders League has an inaugural six-week padel league on Sunday nights at Padel39 starting up on May 25th. Apply here ASAP to get in on the fun: space is limited.
[PILATES] If you’re a fan of morning Pilates and are feeling nostalgic for Barbie, check out the sunrise Pilates classes at Austin’s Malibu Barbie Cafe (presented by Bucket Listers) at 8 am on Saturday May 17th and 24th. Your ticket gets you access to the hour long Pilates class, a fresh lemonade post-class, a resistance band you can take home, and a $5 credit for merchandise. Sign up here via Austin Bucket List while you can. No word yet if loyal WellcommATX supporter and avid Pilates aficionado Michele LoDuca (@micheleloduca) will be celebrating there with her bridal party.
[RUN CLUB] RAWDAWG proclaims it’s more than a run club (“a movement”), and the movement is back in Austin soon. WellcommATX’s inaugural High Five, Andrea Marie (@a.m.moves), just tipped us off to the upcoming RAWDAWG dates of May 24th and June 21st as part of this summer’s World Tour. It’s a heck of a lot easier to go to either of these than it is to travel to New York this Saturday, May 17th or to London on June 24th, so why not join the movement as it runs through the Live Music Capital of the World? Stay tuned to our IG where we’ll share more about these ATX dates as it becomes available.

[WELLNESS EVENT] Coffee & Chill rolled through town for Coffee & Chill Austin’s fourth event this past Saturday, but if you missed it, have no fear! Hallie Meland (@halliemeland) and Jack Zimmermann (@zackjimmermann) are dropping tickets this Wednesday, May 14th, at 10 am for the next one (which we hear will take place Saturday, May 24th). Expect more hot coffee, more cold plunges, and more great vibes all around. As usual, you’ll be able to get your tickets here.
[OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES] We’re especially excited about opportunities to boost our wellness outdoors, so we were thrilled to discover that the Austin American-Statesman’s Ana María Gutierrez (@insaneprotagonist), the paper’s Trending and Dining Reporter, just dropped the definitive 2025 guide to summer swim season in Austin TODAY. Read it online or via hard copy, and check out her story archive here for her other tips on great places to stay active outdoors around town whether through hiking, biking, pickleballing, or more.
